Valetax, explained with numbers instead of promises

This is an independent guide to the broker: all six account types side by side, what 1:2000 leverage actually does to your margin, and a plain walk through sign-up. Run your own numbers in the calculator before you deposit anything.

Leveraged CFD trading can wipe out your whole deposit. Only use money you can afford to lose.

What Valetax is, and what this site isn’t

Valetax is an offshore forex and CFD broker that began taking clients in 2021. Trading happens on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, so if you’ve used either platform before, nothing in the terminal will surprise you. A large share of its clients come from Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America, which explains the local payment options and the unusually small entry deposits.

One thing up front: valetax.guru is not the broker’s website. We’re an affiliate. If you open an account through our link we may be paid a commission, and you pay nothing extra for it. It doesn’t soften what we say about leverage either. Most of that section is a warning.

Six accounts, one honest comparison

On paper there are six accounts. In practice most people pick between three: Cent to learn, Standard to trade normal size, then ECN or PRO once the spread starts eating into results. Booster and Bonus are built around promotions, so read their terms before you count on any bonus money.

What 1:2000 leverage really changes

Leverage is the most misread number on any broker’s homepage. All it decides is how much of your money gets locked as margin. How much you make or lose per pip is a different question, and lot size answers it.

Take 0.10 lot of EUR/USD at 1.1000. The position is worth $11,000. At 1:100 the broker holds $110 as margin; at 1:2000 it holds $5.50. Either way, every pip is worth exactly one dollar.

Margin shrinks as leverage grows. Pip value, and therefore risk per pip, stays the same.

So high leverage frees up margin, which sounds harmless. The trouble is behaviour. With only $5.50 locked, it gets very easy to open a position far too big for the account. A 50-pip move against one full lot is a $500 loss, whatever leverage you chose.

Opening an account, step by step

  1. Register

Use the button on this page, enter your email and phone number, and set a password. Two minutes, give or take.

  2. Confirm

Type in the codes Valetax sends to your email and phone.

  3. Verify

Upload an ID card or passport plus a selfie. Proof of address is sometimes requested. Approval is usually quick but can take up to one business day.

  4. Choose

Pick an account type and a platform. Cent or Standard on MT5 is a sensible first choice, and you can open more accounts later from the same client area.

  5. Fund and test

Check which payment methods work in your country, deposit the minimum, place a 0.01-lot trade and test a withdrawal before adding more.

MT4 or MT5?

Both are available on every account. MT4 is older and has the bigger library of free indicators and Expert Advisors. MT5 adds more timeframes, a depth-of-market window, an economic calendar inside the terminal and a faster strategy tester. Starting from zero? Go straight to MT5. Already own an MT4 robot? There’s no reason to switch.

Both run on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and in the browser. Valetax also offers copy trading through its client area.

Regulation, and the risks that come with it

Valetax International Limited holds a licence from the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. It’s a real licence, but an offshore one. There’s no investor compensation scheme of the kind you get with strict regulators such as the FCA in the UK or ASIC in Australia.

On the plus side, every account has negative balance protection, so a sharp price gap can’t leave you owing the broker money. According to the company, client funds are kept in segregated accounts.

Valetax isn’t supervised by most national regulators in Asia or Latin America. Check what your own country allows before trading with any offshore broker.

Questions people actually ask
